Local robber found and in custody

After issuing a photo and description of Marouane Zatouf Nov. 13 with a warrant for arrest, police found their man. Zatouf was arrested Saturday, Nov. 17 in London by the London police service.

“Zatouf was wanted in connection with a number of crimes occurring within Waterloo Region this fall. He is charged with 17 counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts of break, enter and commit.” WRPS said in a media release.

Zatouf frequently targeted university residents in Waterloo, stealing laptops and phones. Zatouf will be sent back to Waterloo to answer to WRPS for local charges.
